The Novilune site and app are written and developed by Ludovic Debono. Contact: novilune@debono.fr (the address is also at the bottom of every page).
All rights reserved. The texts, figures, maps and images of this site belong to their author and may not be reproduced, in whole or in part, without written permission — apart from short quotations with attribution.
Maps and sky images are computed and drawn by Novilune from the DE441 ephemeris of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (California Institute of Technology). Embedded base maps come from Natural Earth (public domain).
Every article carries its citation at the bottom of the page (author, title, publication and update dates, address). For the site as a whole: Ludovic Debono, Novilune — solar eclipses: history, astronomy, observing, https://debono.fr/novilune/.
Articles follow academic practice: footnotes, sources quoted in the original language and in translation, bibliography at the end of each article in the Chicago style (notes and bibliography). All astronomical figures (times, durations, altitudes, uncertainties) come from the app's computation chain: a page says exactly what the app shows, and the uncertainty of the computation is given where it matters.
The site sets no cookies and collects nothing. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. The app's privacy policy is separate: novilune-privacy.html.
